Behind Equal Learning Kauai is a student who was told she was “slow” before anyone told her she had dyslexia. What followed was years of accommodations, advocates, and hard-won progress — and a growing conviction that no family should have to fight this hard just to be understood.
Today, at 14, she’s turning that experience into an organization that teaches schools, supports families, and gives students with learning disabilities a community of their own.
